1

Personalized ornament

VinylEasy

Adhesive (permanent) vinyl

How to make it

Cut a name or year in small vinyl and apply it to a flat or clear ornament with transfer tape. Curved surfaces: snip the transfer tape so it lies flat.

2

Gift tags

PaperEasy

Cardstock + pen

How to make it

Use a tag shape plus the pen tool (or Draw) to write names, then cut. Batch a whole sheet for every gift this year.

3

Iron-on tea towel

Iron-onEasy

Heat-transfer vinyl (HTV)

How to make it

A cotton flour-sack towel with a short phrase. Mirror the design before cutting HTV, and check your vinyl's heat guide.

4

Window snowflakes

VinylEasy

Window cling or removable vinyl

How to make it

Cut a set of snowflakes in a few sizes and arrange them on a window or mirror. Removable vinyl peels off in January.

5

Layered or shaker card

PaperAcetateMedium

Cardstock + acetate

How to make it

Cut a card with a window, back it with acetate and fill a foam-tape pocket with sequins for a shaker card, or stack 3-4 layers of cardstock for depth.

6

Holiday mug

VinylMedium

Permanent vinyl

How to make it

Wrap a short phrase or a pattern around a mug. Burnish well and give it a few days before washing; hand-wash to make it last.

7

Stocking name

Iron-onFeltMedium

HTV on felt

How to make it

Add names to plain felt stockings. Felt can scorch, so use a pressing cloth and your vinyl's lower-heat setting.

8

3D paper ornament

PaperMedium

Cardstock (score lines)

How to make it

Cut a 3D star, bauble or house ornament with score lines, fold and glue. Glitter cardstock makes it pop on the tree.

9

Treat box or gift-card holder

PaperMedium

Cardstock (score lines)

How to make it

Cut a small pillow box or a gift-card sleeve for teacher and neighbor gifts. Pair it with your gift tags from day 2.

10

Door hanger or wood sign

VinylPaintAdvanced

Stencil vinyl + paint

How to make it

Cut a stencil, weed the letters out, apply to a wood round, dab paint with a nearly dry brush, then peel while slightly wet.

11

Matching pajamas or shirts

Iron-onAdvanced

HTV

How to make it

Same design, different names or sizes for the whole family. Mirror, weed, press, and peel hot or cold as the vinyl says.
